THE PHIL MENDEZ AWARD
     This award is given to an animator or animation company that proves it is one of the best. Mendez who is one of the most prolific and outstanding artist working in animation today will present this award along with an incredible prize to the winner of this special prize.

THE JOHN GILBERT AWARD
     Any independent director worth their salt knows that the backbone of his or her production is the actor who brings the script to life. One of the actors who has done so and beautifully with a professionalism rarely seen in the indie world is actor John Gilbert. This award is given to actors who have proven time and time again, that a good story, a good script and great direction are nothing without actors like John Gilbert to put them over the top. The first year recipient of this award is our course,
