The event takes place against the backdrop of the 41st Long Beach Internationals, the longest running event martial arts show and tournament in the United States.
It begins on July 28 and runs through July 30, 2006. This event has played host to some of the biggest action and film stars from around the world.
Beginning with Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Blake Edwards, and hundreds of other actors, producers, directors, Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, ESPN and filmmakers from around the world.
The Long Beach Center has two large screening rooms and multiple smaller venues for the screening of the selected films on the beautiful sun splashed pacific coast.
It has just been announced that Black Belt Magazine will also join the show with their incredible Black Belt Hall of Fame Dinner which hosts nearly 1,000 guests as well as their fantastic 2nd Annual Black Belt Festival of Martial Arts. These two events combined with the AOF Festival will be a showcase of action, fun and excitement for upwards of 20,000 guests.
The Action on Film Festival aims to promote artistically and culturally significant film arts through education and exhibition. We do this to enrich the life of the
community, filmmakers and of course individuals who pursue careers in front of the camera. By working directly with filmmakers independent of budget, origin, style or genre we will celebrate the art of
film and filmmakers in addition to: -Setting high standards for quality film education and exhibition, placing artistic and cultural merit above commercial appeal. -Working collaboratively with
filmmakers and producers to increase access to quality film arts, presentations, programs, and projects. -Enjoy the art of Action on Film in all of its glory from the delicate movement of the wings
of a butterfly to a blazing shoot out on the streets of an inner city. In addition, we proactively seek out filmmakers whom we feel showcase and create work that we want to show.
We feel this separates us from many other such events. WHY YOU SHOULD ENTER THE AOF FESTIVAL... Click Here to Learn More About the International Tournament.

SPOTLIGHT ON BRED IN THE BONE AND FILMMAKER STAN HARRINGTON AOF was our first fest and it was an honor to be selected the Best in
Show. Since then "Bred In The Bone" has appeared at Mann's Chinese where it was chosen as a runner up for Best In Show and the Winner of Best Feature Film.
It's a film that I am very proud of as it was shot for a mere $5,000 in true guerilla style and it has attracted the interest of many key groups including the Sundance Media Group, VASST, Sony Media Software and many publications on Film Making and editing my next film, "The Craving Heart" will be shot for $6,500 and is due to screen at the next AOF Fest.
