What is a Writer's Scene

A Writer's Scene is a short scene chosen by an AOF submitting writer from his or her work. The AOF Festival then works with some of the top acting schools in Los Angeles to cast and read the scene on camera. The scenes are taped, edited and mastered to DVD where they are then showcased alongside the films shown at the AOF Festival on the big screen. In many cases, this is the very first time writer's have ever seen their words acted out, produced or showcased in a theater.

We believe that all great projects begin and end with the written word and put our money and efforts behind it. We have been producing these scenes since 2007 and we will continue as many writer's have told us that they love the scenes and use them for the promotion of their work.

The scenes are produced at random and at NO COST to our filmmakers and writers. Entry does not guarantee the production of a scene but we do try to produce and display as many as we can.

Here is a sample of a Writer's Scene starring acting legend Morgan W. Sheppard. Enjoy!
