Susan’s professional career began with The Entertainment Company, where she managed and negotiated some of the most valuable publishing catalogues in popular music and responsible for the company’s promotional interests by such talent as Barbara Streisand, Dolly Parton, The Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Dusty Springfield,becoming company Director and head of the company’s west coast operation. Susan joined Paramount Pictures in 1986, rising rapidly through the ranks to spend the majority of her twenty-year career at the studio as Sr. Vice President, Marketing, and Media Director for the film group. Leaving Paramount in 2006, Susan’s consulting projects have included feature films, documentaries, the successful launch of the Produced By Conference for the Producers Guild of America, co-producing the 75th anniversary television special for KTLA (“Planet L.A.”, which was nominated for a local Emmy), marketing the Third Screen Film Festival and many other entrepreneurial activities. She currently serves as Chief Marketing Officer for www.theStream.tv and Catch-22 Entertainment. Member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences since 1994; Instructor: Columbia College, Chicago; Guest Lecturer: USC (Peter Stark program), UCLA (Communications program). Christine Peluso, Esq: Principal, Tax Credits, LLC Christine has been with Tax Credits, LLC since inception in 1998,and directs the national development of the company’s Film Production Tax Credit business. Prior to joining Tax Credits, LLC, she worked for ten years with various public companies handling debt restructuring, SEC compliance and Investor Relations. In addition, she worked as a Financial Consultant with Solomon Smith Barney. Christine holds a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado in Boulder and a J.D. from Delaware Law School in Wilmington. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania at the State and Federal levels, as well as U.S. Tax Court. Dama Claire: Production Executive, The Incentives Office Dama is one of the foremost experts in governmental
production incentives in the industry. She works closely with independent
film producers, studios and lenders to help identify the best location
and production incentive package to save money. She helped set up location-based
finance for “Big Momma’s House 2” in Louisiana, “Dear
John” in South Carolina, “Red Dawn” in Michigan, “The
Private Lives of Pippa Lee” in Connecticut, ”Prison Break"
in Illinois, “Legion” in New Mexico, and “The Conspirator”
in Georgia. Dama recently co-produced "Betty Anne Waters", starring
Hilary Swank, in Michigan. She also helped enhance film tax legislation
in Alaska, Louisiana, Massachusetts and South Carolina. Dama began her
entertainment career at Warner Bros. working with Malpaso Productions
(Clint Eastwood), and has served as West Region Director of Entertainment
Tax for Price Waterhouse, Vice President of Tax at Carolco Pictures and
Twentieth Century Fox. Adrian Ward: SVP Entertainment, Sports & Media, National Bank of California, Entertainment, Sports & Media Adrian joined the pioneering boutique lender The Lewis Horwitz Organization in 1991, where he was involved in the development and structuring of some of the first bank production loans based on international sales contracts. Initially Adrian was instrumental in the risk analysis that led to the first ever gap finance transactions and became one of the leading lenders within the company. In 1998 Adrian re-located to London, U.K. as European Representative specializing in packaging multi-party loan transactions involving many of the available European tax incentives. Returning to Los Angeles in 2005 as the Portfolio Manager for ICB Entertainment Finance, he was responsible for oversight of production loans with an aggregate value of approx. $200MM. In March 2007, Adrian joined IDB Bank and built a new entertainment lending division and following this, in April 2008, became the Senior Vice President of NBCal’s Entertainment, Sports & Media department.
